Staff Selection Commission (SSC ) has invited applications for exam to provide job opportunities at the post of translators, Hindi pradhyapak and senior/ junior translators in the ministry of defence. The interested and eligible candidates can register latest by April 18. 
SSC Openings Details:
Junior Hindi Translators (in Subordinate Offices)(Group “B” Non-  Technical)
Salary scale: Rs. 9300-34800 with Grade Pay  Rs. 4200/- , in various Central Government Ministries/ Departments / Offices. 

(ii)  Senior Translator (Group ‘B” Non-Gazetted)
Salary scale: Rs.9300-34800 with Grade Pay of Rs.4600/- in Ministry of Defence.
(iii) Junior Translator (Group “B” Non-Gazetted)
Salary scale: R 9300-34800 with Grade Pay of Rs 4200/-, in Ministry of Defence.
(iv) Hindi Pradhyapak (Group “B” Non-Gazetted)
Salary scale:  Rs. 9300-34800 with Grade Pay of Rs. 4800/-, in Central Hindi Training Institute (D/o Official Language) located all over India.
Age Limit: Applicants Age limit should not Exceeding 30 years as on 1st January 2014. Age relaxation will be Applicable 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC & 10 years for PH, 13 years for PH (OBC) and 15 years for PH (SC/ST).  
Educational qualification:
Junior Hindi Translators (in Subordinate Offices): The candidates applying for this post should possess a Masters Degree from a recognized University or equivalent in English/ Hindi with Hindi/ English as a compulsory or elective subject at degree level; or the candidates should have earned a Bachelors Degree from a recognized University or equivalent with Hindi and English as main subjects.
For Hindi Pradhyapak (in Central Hindi Training Institute): To apply at this post, the candidates should possess a Master's degree in Hindi with English as one of the subjects at degree level either as compulsory or optional or as a language paper from a recognized university or equivalent; or the candidates should have earned Bachelors degree in Education from a recognized university/institute. Also, the candidates are required to have two years of experience of teaching Hindi at senior secondary level.
For Senior Translator and Junior Translator (in Ministry of Defence): The candidates should possess a Master's degree from a recognized university in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as medium of examination at the degree level.
Application fees: Applicants have to pay application fee Rs.100/- by means of “Central Recruitment Fee Stamps (CRFS)”only .CRFS stamps are available at the counter of all Departmental Post Offices of the country.
Selection Process: Written Examination (400 Marks); Personality Test (Interview) (100 Marks). The exam will be held on 8th June 2014 (Sunday)
How To Apply: Eligible Candidates apply on the prescribed application format. Completed applications along with required photo-copies of documents reach to the concerned SSC Regional Office on or before 18/04/2014 (upto 5 P.M.). For candidates residing in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Jammu and Kashmir, Lahaul and Spiti District and Pangi Sub Division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep and for candidates residing abroad - 25/04/2014 (upto 5 PM).
