National Institute of
Technology Nagaland (NIT
Nagaland) invites applications for the following Faculty posts in the regular
cadre and on contract basis. The last date for receipt of applications is 28th
February 2014. NIT is one among ten newly
established NITs sanctioned during the XI five year plan in 2009. The Institute
is centrally funded by MHRD, Government of India. The Institute started
functioning at its permanent campus located at Chumukedima, Dimapur, Nagaland
-797103. eligible candidates for the
posts of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Professor, Technical and
Library staff. The last date to submit applications is February 28, 2014.

Educational Qualifications:
Deputy
Librarian -> Master's Degree in Library Science /
Information Science/ Documentation with CGPA of 6.5 in 10 point scale or at
least 60% of the marks or its equivalent grade of 'B' in the UGC seven point
scale and a consistent good academic record. Ten years experience as an Assistant Librarian out of which atleast 5 years
to be in the post with GP of 7000/- or in equivalent post.
Assistant Librarian ->
Master's Degree in Library Science / Information Science/ Documentation Science
or equivalent professional degree with CGPA of 6.5 in 10 point scale or at
least 60% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading
system is followed) and a consistent good academic record with superior
knowledge of computerized library service. Atleast one year experience in
University / Institute's Library.
Library Assistant ->
Bachelor's Degree in Library Science / Information Science/ Documentation
Science or equivalent professional degree with CGPA of 6.5 in 10 point scale or
at least 60% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading
system is followed). Atleast one year experience in University / Institute's
Library.
Library
Attendant -> Senior Secondary (10+2) pass or equivalent
pass from a recognized board or Institute. At-least one year experience in
University / Institute's Library.
Application fee:
Applicants have to
pay an application fee of Rs 600 (Rs 300 in case of SC/ST candidates) in the
form of Crossed Demand Draft drawn in favour of The Director, National
Institute of Technology Nagaland payable at the Chumukedima, Dimapur from any
Nationalised Bank.
Selection procedure:
Candidates will be
shortlisted for recruitment on the basis of their performance in the interview.
